About

Abhiraj Bibhar is a Professor of Computer Science at Riverbend University, where she directs the Human-Centered Machine Learning Lab. Her research sits at the intersection of machine learning, human-computer interaction, and privacy, with a focus on building AI systems that are trustworthy, explainable, and genuinely useful to the people who rely on them.

Before joining Riverbend, she was a postdoctoral researcher at MIT CSAIL and a visiting researcher at Google DeepMind. She has published extensively in top-tier venues including NeurIPS, CHI, and JMLR, and her work has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and several industry partners.

Beyond the lab, Dr. Marsh is passionate about mentorship and broadening participation in computing. She founded the department’s Summer Research Scholars program for undergraduates from underrepresented backgrounds and regularly speaks at K-12 outreach events.
